Enamelled black cast iron teapot Asia collection also enamelled inside. This cast iron teapot, with its Japanese teapot design, keeps tea hot for a long time, thanks to cast iron, a material that maintains the same temperature for hours. Available in 0.3 litre capacity (ideal for 2 cups) and two models in 0.8 L capacity. Induction ready. No dishwasher.
The teapot comes with a stainless steel tea strainer in which you put the loose tea to be brewed for Art. 10991; Art. 10990 does not have a tea strainer: you can put the tea to be brewed in the water or in a bag, or you can use a tea ball.
The enamelled cast iron teapot is also available in red, Art. 10992.
How to prepare tea in cast iron teapots? Ideally, you should use spring water or filtered water; the temperature of the water should be between 70° and 80° C, depending on the tea you use. Be sure to respect the brewing time indicated on the tea you have chosen, and brew with the teapot closed, so that all the flavours of the tea can develop.
After use, it is important to rinse your cast iron teapot thoroughly by scalding it before the next use. You can also use your cast iron teapot to enjoy iced tea: brew your tea in the traditional way with boiling water, and then add ice cubes to your teapot. The spout will prevent ice cubes from falling into the cup when serving.
